University of Stirling Department of Sports Studies
The Department of Sports Studies is engaged in teaching academic programmes, research into sport and managing the University sports facilities and services.
The Department of Sports Studies is ranked as one of the best in the country offering undergraduate qualifications in Sport and Exercise Science and Sports Studies, and postgraduate studies in Sports Management and Coaching as well as Professional Education and Physical Education (offering vocational training for teaching in both primary and secondary schools) and an extensive CPD programme.
Research within Sports Studies at Stirling is focused in three major areas Sports History and Culture, Sports Management and Policy and Nutrition, Physical Activity and Health.
