Paths to Health

The Paths for All Partnership established the Paths to Health project in 2001 to contribute to health improvement in Scotland through the promotion of walking for health.

The Paths to Health project forms part of the national physical activity programme and is recognised as a key delivery mechanism for Scotland’s Physical Activity Strategy - Let’s Make Scotland More Active (Scottish Ececutive, 2003).

The project deliveres walking for health under 4 main themes, Community, Health care, Workplace and National co-ordination. Providing tadvise, raining, grants and resources to local communities, workplaces and NHS Boards to encourage the promotion of walking for health.
