National Conference on Physical Education in Scotland:Entering a Decade of Complex Change.

The main theme of this conference is to explore the exciting but complex nature of the next 10 years for Physical Education in Scotland. Speakers will consider the challenges ahead and also celebrate exciting Physical Education developments currently taking place across the country.

These celebrations include:

  • Physical Education, Health and Wellbeing and Curriculum for Excellences
  • The Association for Physical Education Scotland’s Position Paper on Physical Education
  • The Scottish Primary Physical Education Project
  • Innovative developments in primary and secondary PE, including Active Schools

Breakout Sessions:

Breakout seminars will be presented by teachers and active schools coordinators to celebrate innovative Physical Education developments across the primary secondary sectors.

  • Don Ledingham, Executive Director of Education and Children's Services, East Lothian and Chair of the ADES Led Curriculum for Excellence Implementation Partnership Group.
