Place Standard Tool wins excellence Award

The Place Standard Tool, developed by NHS Health Scotland, the Scottish Government and Architecture Design Scotland, has won the Royal Town Planning Institute’s (RTPI) award for excellence in planning for wellbeing.

It is important that the places and spaces in which we live and work are designed to promote good health and reduce health inequalities. The people who live in a community are best placed to design the spaces and places in a way that will make this happen. That is why we developed the Place Standard Tool.  It can help structure the necessary conversations between planners and communities.
