Place Standard Tool Feedback

The Scottish Government has been working with partners NHS Health Scotland and Architecture and Design Scotland to develop a Place Standard Assessment tool.

The aim of this tool is to support the delivery of high quality places - which can be instrumental in reducing health inequalities.

Earlier this year, a number of workshops and public engagement activities were carried out in order to gather views on the current Place Standard tool. The feedback gathered assisted with the development of a new working draft.

You can find the revised tool here, along with some supporting information on its use, and an interactive excel tool which will, in the future, be developed more fully into an online version.

Your views on the new tool would be greatly welcomed.  Any comments should be directed to Rory Mitchell at rory.mitchell@nhs.net.

For further information on the tool, contact architecture@scotland.gsi.gov.uk or 0131 244 7461.
