Paths for All: Walk at Work Step Count Challenge

Want to get your workplace moving in 5 simple steps?

Then the Walk at Work Step Count Challenge might be just the thing for you. Over 12 weeks teams of 5 will record their daily step counts. We want people to walk more and feel the difference. The emphasis will be on setting personal goals, with a sprinkling of friendly competition and there will be prizes and awards up for grabs along the way.

To register, simply follow these 5 simple steps:

1. Apply for a Registration Form and Coordinator’s Pack

2. Recruit your teams

3. Send in your completed Registration Form

4. Distribute information packs to your teams

5. Get walking

The challenge starts on Monday 14th

February 2011 and runs for 12 weeks.

Needless to say, walking has lots of benefits. A physically active workforce has been shown to take less sick days and be more productive. It should also give a healthy boost to staff morale and team working. If you are working towards your Healthy Working Lives Award then participation in the challenge will also contribute towards this.
