Health Behaviour in School-aged Children Study

Latest figures from the Health Behaviour in School-aged Children (HBSC) study have been released.

The report contains information about the health, wellbeing, social environment and health behaviour of adolescents across Europe and North America.

Children (aged 11, 13 and 15) were surveyed about how often they took part in at least 60 minutes of activity during the past week and how much time they spent watching television on weekdays.

The findings reveal that the proportion of children in England, Wales and Scotland participating in 60 minutes of activity daily was lower than the study average. In addition, the proportion watching two or more hours of television on weekends was higher than the study average.
