Hands Up Scotland Survey

New data on school travel in Scotland for 2015 has been released this week.

Official statistics from the Hands Up Scotland Survey show scootering has increased as a form of school travel for Scottish school children.

This showed that in 2015 three quarters of school pupils in Scotland are travelling by sustainable and/or active modes, with the number of children scootering at its highest level ever recorded by the survey. A quarter of pupils are being driven to school.

The annual Hands Up Scotland Survey collects data on mode of travel to schools and nurseries in Scotland.
