Dementia Friendly Walking Community

Paths for All, the nationwide champion of walking for all in Scotland, has been awarded a funding boost of £300,000 to develop a dementia friendly walking community.

This funding will help ensure that that everyone affected by dementia also has the opportunity to take part, enjoy the benefits of walking, improve their health and well-being and be part of a larger community.

Through already established networks and expertise, Paths for All aim to improve support for those with dementia and their carers to access walking opportunities, highlight the benefit walking can bring, as well as provide respite. They also aim to increase awareness and understanding of dementia within local communities.
