Scottish Government have published 'A Healthier Future: Scotland’s Diet & Healthy Weight Delivery Plan' which goes hand in hand with the Active Scotland Delivery Plan to promote a healthy and physical well-being.
A number of commitments to promoting physical activity in maintaining a healthy weight and diet are part of the plan. Among them, for example is continual funding for ' healthy weight interventions designed and delivered by the third sector, such as Football Fans In Training (FFIT). FFIT is a 12 week programme aimed at improving both men’s and women’s health and wellbeing by supporting them to improve lifestyle choices, increase physical activity and reduce weight.'
