The £2m will be final round of funding from the third phase of CashBack for Communities, which ends in March 2017, and will be used to support projects aimed at getting young people active, Justice Secretary Michael Matheson announced on 22 March 2016.
Community organisations working with disadvantaged young people across Scotland will soon be able to apply for a share of the funding to upgrade equipment and improve their facilities in a bid to get more young people involved in sport and physical activity.
Applications for funding will open on 18 April 2016, and will be managed by YouthLink Scotland.
